    Hows folk getting on with the harvest so far? Been really bad weather up here in Donegal so far, apart from a odd field or two here and there, folk only really getting started winter barley today,cut our 1st field
    Tower variety, 3.4 ton/acre moisture 20-21% bushel weight low at 59

    Finished the winter barley yesterday, not sure how it did yet as still tipped in the shed waiting on the haulier!
    Counting the trailers, it could be over 4 tonne/acre, but not going get too carried away until its all delivered.

    All winter barley cut in this area with mighty crops of straw and reports of good yield.

    Some oats cut but only getting going. Spring barley all standing as we missed most if the rain but I was down Carlow way during week and see crops flattened after heavy rain

    Straw should be a bit cheaper

    Bought stuff made last yr a month ago for 5e a bale. Have 200 bales baled atm off neighbours. Not going to dog thrm on price they don't risethe price on us in the yrs straw is dear
