Car was in a collision few weeks back and other party admitted liability, got pay out from insurance and got the car fixed up(body work) but car is pulling to the left and went to get the wheels balanced and was told I need a new back axle. Can anyone tell me how much (rough estimate) something like this will be for 2nd hand one and fitted. Its an Opel zafira 1.6 petrol 2007 model. I'm worrying that it'll be 1000s to correct this :(

Is it even safe enough to drive if axle is slightly bent?

2-3 hours labour plus price of axle 2nd hand guess at less than 250 for the axle

Surely it's up to the bodyshop to assess and repair the car properly?

And other party's insurance to pay the bill

Sounds like car was to be a insurance write off but part pay out was taken along with car back and then car repaired on cheap

If not, the garage who done the repaires should be reported to the insurance company as they clearly haven't repaired it properly
