For the last few months I've been suffering with bouts of diarrehea at least three times a week. When I don't have diarrhea - I'm severely constipated. This is really affecting day to day life for me as I'm struggling to eat food at lunch or dinner times in fear of how my stomach will react. I've lost just over 1.5st in the last three months. Could this be Crohn's disease? I'm becoming worried!

Have you changed anything in your diet?
It could be anything from crohns disease to colitis or celiac disease or a general intolerance to something you're eating.

Bottom line. Go see a doctor.

i'd be going to see your doctor as they'd be best able to advise as it's seems to be an ongoing issue with you!

Thanks for the reply. Ive been to see my local GP & was prescribed Colofac tablets which have little or no effect on my symptoms. I'm also getting a colonoscopy & endoscopy soon... It's becoming really unmanagable as of late. I'm having to miss work over it!!!

Op, no one here can diagnose you, that's not what this forum is for and its not safe for you to have randomers suggesting possible diagnoses.
Discuss it further with your doctor.
