The meter is measuring gas in cubic meters, and parts thereof.
Your current reading is 272 cubic meters and 9 tenths 5 hundreths 2 thousandths of a cubic meter.
If you are in Ireland your Gas bill is charged on a per cubic meter basis.

Let's take 272 , so conversion is 272 x by 11.4198 = 3106 .1856 . Round it to 311. Now get the unit price like 0.051564.so 311 x 0.05164 = 16.06004 which would be €16.06 plus your VAT & standing charge & carbon tax. Hope this helps you how to make your bill out.

    This math is wrong
its 160 euro for 272 cubic meters before all the add ons

Well if it's natural gas it's not wrong as if you have a bill it will show you how to convert it to KWh & the unit price & that's the way I do mine .

No, it's charged in KWH. They take the m3 value and multiply it by the calorific value if the gas at the time. This differs every billing period and hence is not a constant

He went from 3106 to 311 for no apparent reason.
    my bill is 181 m3 by 11.39 = 2062 *.05 = 103 euro
not 10.3 as per u mans math

as the op is a bit concerned about the cost, no point telling here that 272m3 only cost 16 euro

Apologies if I'm wrong. My last bill after conversion was 938 kWh which was €48.36. Once again apologies .

    hi ,
    original poster here ,

ok I best say a bit more of my story,

the photo is a meter that measures the gas from a large supply tank.
so if eg 600 liters or 1100 liters is filled into a tank , how do I know how many liters is used on a weekly basis if I am watching the meter that measures meters cubed.

is there a formula to convert M3 to liters
its not Kwh I need to know
