I drive a Swift Kontiki motorhome which was built on a Peugeot Boxer 95. The rubber discs in the radiator support brackets have perished and the local Peugeot dealer said the bracket and the rubber fitting are no longer made and not now available. Any suggestions how I could source or replace these rubber??

Have you tried MicksGarage? They seem to be still stocking parts for them. Also a motor factors?

I'm not surprised Peugeot don't have them any more but the spurious market should do them.

You have to do it online.

    Go to http://www.micksgarage.com/ or http://www.mister-auto.ie/en/

Select Peugeot Boxer and see what parts they have. Mister Auto have more parts but they are sent from France.

With MicksGarage you can either collect the parts from Dublin or get them posted.

Pov06 Thanks again . I have contacted Micks Garage by phone but to no avail. A very helpful chap checked if they had these bushings ,but no luck. Im thinking that even if i got a new pair made in 95 which is when they were last produced ,they would probably be perished by now. The chap in Micks suggested I check out rubbers related to exhaust pipes. So I will check that . Thanks for your help.

Chances are if you find the parts they will be produced after 1995. Also they most likely have some sort of coating to prevent this similarly to brake discs having a coating that prevents them from rusting.

Have you looked at any in scrap yards? Maybe give them a ring, you might find something in better nick than what you have now.

Put up a picture, I have a rad support bracket for a 1997 Ducato that may do the job for you

Fancy Pigeon Thanks for reply and your help. Just to say the brackets on the camper are fine, its the rubber in the brackets that has perished, they are like two large rubber washers and measure 4.50cm wide and from memory about 6 mm deep. Either bolts or steel pins come up from the rad through a hole in the centre of the rubber washer topped by a steel washer and nut keeping the rad steady( it could be that its a steel bolt screwed down into the radiator ) I did not try to undo this yet because i have secured the brackets with ties for the moment. Will try to forward an image tomorrow if you still want it..
