Bit of spare land, is there much to keeping a few sheep or lambs?

    Kids have been pestering lambs, and I wouldnt mind a few knocking about the place, the OH has spare land I was wondering is there much to keeping a few sheep?

    That's a brave bit for sheep,I would suggest getting you children raring pet lambs to get them used to sheep and for yourself I would keep about 5 acres of it to keep a few sheep in it and rent out the rest for a while to get a bit more money for your enterprise

    A watchful eye is required every day at the very least but yes there are plenty of sheep farmers with full time jobs

    I'd suggest getting a local farmer to help you out,mabey buy a few ewes to lamb for yourself,a good farmer will always be will to give some one a hand at lambing a ewe or two until you know what to do.
