Toronto to Philly via Niagara Falls

Planning a trip in Sept, flying into Toronto and nine days later flying out of NYC. We are going to visit family in Philly and hoped to drive there via Niagara but obviously didn't research very well as it is insanely expensive. Looking like we will get a bus now (maybe overnight to save on costs) but ideally would love to…

Planning a trip in Sept, flying into Toronto and nine days later flying out of NYC. We are going to visit family in Philly and hoped to drive there via Niagara but obviously didn't research very well as it is insanely expensive.

Looking like we will get a bus now (maybe overnight to save on costs) but ideally would love to drive. Any way around the expensive one way fees. Looks like you can't even rent in one in state in the US and return to another without crazy charges.

Any insight would be helpful as want to get it booked soon as we can. Thanks.
