Smoking/Vaping & Blood Pressure

My last medical/vaping related observation was that I haven't had a cold or sore throat in 3 years, ie. Since I started vaping. Theorising that perhaps that's something to do with coating my lungs with PG which apparently has anti bacterial and anti viral properties.

Latest observation is that I have been on blood pressure meds for a few years now. 20mg Benetor to bring my diastolic and Systolic down. Had also been taking the beta blocker Inderal to get my resting pulse down which was 100+ bpm. Noticed a didn't physically feel the need for the Inderal for the last few weeks which is good as it can bring on a feeling of fatigue. Been feeling livelier the last few weeks. I had assumed that my resting pulse had likely gone back up though. Put new batteries in the BP monitor the other day and over the last few days I've been getting pulse readings of 75 without pharmacological intervention which is great. So I asked myself what changed over the last few weeks?

Well I've moved down through the nic levels from 24mg down to 6mg over the last 8 weeks.

Vaping has brought me nothing but health benefits over the last 3 years. God Bless that Chinaman who invented it! :D

Smoking is immensely bad for BP.
The nicotine has a big effect in high doses, though its so similar to caffeine in that respect (or at least this is my understanding), it provides bursts rather than long term highs, though if you are continuously dosing then....
So yeah, I'm also down to a steady and low BP (I'm also diabetic), blood sugars have stabilised (due to general health improvements probably helped a great deal by not smoking) and fk it, I'm just feeling a vast amount better in general.

Its all just a wee factor that is terrifying the tobacco and pharma overlords.
Their little circle of cause and effect and pseudo cure is on the verge of collapse.
Make no mistake, none of the proposed regulations have anything to do with health.

Govts, the EU and the tobacco/pharma industries stand to lose a fortune.
Cancer (and serious illness/death) pays, quite simply, it pays big time.

I'm a T1 diabolical and monitor my BP too. Not seen any noticeable change in BP while vaping.

There was a show on BBC a year or so ago that stated that in the UK the gov rakes tax in at several times what it costs to treat smoking related health problems. Follow the money...

    Yeah type 1 here too.
GP says I've never been better. Fk you cigarettes, and a pre-emptive fk you govt.

Didn't notice it while vaping my 24mg but it seems to have come down since I made my way down to 6mg.

I dreaded each step 24-18-12-6. I bought 60ml of each so at 30ml per week I transitioned in 6 weeks. Turned out I was worried about nothing. I barely noticed a difference in throat hit and fully acclimatised in a day and didn't feel any withdrawal on my way down. The manufacturers did their homework as it seems the 6mg gap between strengths is very manageable. That said I think I'll dilute 6mg to 3mg and not try the 6-0mg in one go.
