Child bike seat for older child

I have a hamax kiss seat for my 4.5 yr old that is fixed to the centre bar and suspended over the rear wheel. I've noticed that as she is getting a bit heavier now the seat tends to bang off the mudguard and rub the wheel during cycle over ramps etc and was wondering is there a different type of fixed child seat I can get or should I fit a carrier to the rear that would protect the wheel? Any advice please?

Can you lift the mounting on the seatpost up closer to your saddle?
4.5 is close to the upper age for those seats. Can your daughter cycle by herself?
You can get "towbars" that connect to the handlebars of her bike for a tow when she's tired cycling herself.
