I am just trying to plan a few things for oral language lessons with 5th class

I usually in the mornings in class bring up a picture of maybe something topical that is happening in Ireland or the world and we have a little discussion about that!

JUST wondering if anyone has any other little oral things they use now and again to help oral language in the classroom

Other times I might do little improvisation conversations like give kids opening line of a conversations and get them to continue OR talk about a topic for a minute.

Would love some more ideas just to use once or twice a week really...
