hi just wondering if I can change dormer windows to Velux without having to re submit planning, windows on front elevation?
have dislike of dormer and would prefer velux g know won't probably look as well from exterior.

also will I save much with the changes to regulations from September?

You probably will need to apply for permission for an amendments to your planning permission as granted, but, no guarantee that permission would be granted for velux in lieu of dormers! Planners tend to favor dormers...but...it all depends on context/what other houses have in the vicinity.

Worth contacting the planning department to discuss (first) and see what the planner has to say.

If you are to believe the Minister, yes, a bit, but the devil will be in the detail as to what the alternative means of demonstrating compliance will actually involve?

This spells massive headache and bills for people who want to build their own homes with architects and engineers charging massive bills of up to €50,000.

    From here.
Vote Fine Geal in thanks for saving you from greedy designers
