Anyone used this? I got a little sample in a goody bag for Christmas, I hadn't used it but then when I was in Estée Lauder a few months later the girl behind the counter told me it's amazing, I need to use it, the difference it will make to my skin, etc.. I have been using it from the little sample but not for long.. Anyone know if it's really as amazing as this girl made out? or was she just trying to make a sale?

I found it to be just ok. The Deciem Hylamide and Eucerin Hyaluron Filler serums seem to work much better for my early 40s skin.

It broke me out too. For the price, I was very disappointed.

I evangelise about rosehip oil to anyone who'll listen. It's been like a minor miracle, lately I've been using a vitamin C and hyaluronic acid serum followed by the oil, and I've seen fantastic results.

Ooh what kind of results? I must invest!

Do you just buy rosehip oil in a pharmacy?

Before the rosehip oil I used Clarins, sometimes Clinique, and I had fairly good skin. I would get the occasional breakout and it was combination with an oily centre panel, like a lot of people.

I gave it all up when a friend told me about the rosehip after I complimented her skin, and after about four weeks, my skin wasn't combination but completely normal with no dry or oily parts, and the tone had evened out so much that I stopped wearing foundation. Over time it got better and better, pores were minimised and it was softer and smoother than ever. I added the Vitamin C serum a few months ago, and it's glowing. Vitamin C is an anti oxidant so it's protecting it from damage going forward as well. Between the two my skin is now so good that I've been asked what makeup I'm wearing when I haven't been wearing any. I haven't had any breakouts in over a year now, none.

This is the rosehip oil I use - it's identical to the Trilogy as far as I can tell, but much cheaper for much more. Both are organic and 100% pure rosehip seed oils.

The Vitamin C/Hyaluronic acid serum (daytime):

And at night I only use this:

I will never go back to regular moisturisers or serums again. I really wish I hadn't wasted all the money I have over the years on stuff that just didn't do anything for my skin.

That sounds amazing. Where do you buy those products?

Online or in a health food shop

I buy them all on Amazon Lazygal, you'll get all three for about £45 Sterling and it'll last about four months for the Triple rosehip and the Vitamin C, and about five or six months for the Pure Rosehip, so it's quite budget-friendly as a regime.

I hope it works out as well for anyone else who tries it. :)

That's a good price even with the sterling rate the moment :)

I just got fed up buying stuff and finding out it either breaks me out or makes no difference. It's worth buying the rosehip oil at least to try out, because if it works for you it saves you a fortune on products that are all hype and no effect.

I feel pretty gullible when I think back on the money I'd pay out to try things that just don't work, when the most effective thing I've ever used was just a simple pure oil. I was very wary of putting oil on combination skin, but it's been a minor miracle really.

Do you put on the row ship oil and the vit c serum together ??

Serum first, then oil. The serum evaporates/absorbs very quickly, then I massage in the oil. I use a few drops and massage it in well. It can still feel like some of it is sitting on top because I tend to use a little too much, but leave it for about ten minutes while you do other things and it'll have just about disappeared by then and at least you know it's not just evaporating as it's an oil.

I do use a good bit though, if you use less you can massage it and and put makeup on more or less straight away.

Are you putting it on twice a day, or just once?

I love the advanced night repair, it actually cleared my skin up a bit. Try the sample for a while, I went through 2 or 3 samples before I made the investment.
