flatwater kayaking in wicklow

Can anyone recommend a good place to go flatwater kayaking in co.Wicklow, where you don't need permits like Blessington. We have our own gear and are experienced but are looking for some flatwater to chill with the kids on. Cheers.

Plenty of Loughs to avail of. Lough Dan is one, I'm not sure of the get on however. There's also a lake in the hidden valley in Rathdrum http://www.irelandholidaypark.com/kayaks-and-paddle-boats.html
