Fixed Term and Fixed Purpose contracts?

    Are they one and the same and do they mean that you'll only be in a school for a certain time period to cover a maternity/sick leave etc ?

    I *think* fixed term is your own hours and seems to be what RPT hours are called now due to the re-interview process after one year for new contracts.

    Fixed purpose is for maternity leaves, sick leaves etc.

    It's ridiculous the number of terms that can be used for part time contracts.
