Hook, Pope and McGuirk to do punditry for Ireland's World Cup games, streaming on independent.ie

Could be interesting. I know I used to watch Hook and Pope waffling on and then switch to Sky or BBC for the in-game commentary

    He's baaaaack

Edit: Plus they've brought in Rachel Wyse for a more polished production and Risteard Cooper - for some reason

They're all pretty poor. Pope's the best of the three.

Risteard Cooper is annoying and I know very little about Rachel Wyse.

Why not ROG, Conor O'Shea & Shaggy?

Because it's the Independent and they're not actually trying to do anything remotely useful.

McGurk interviewing John Kavanagh, the MMA coach, last week reminded me why I used to avoid the RTE panel discussions.

I won't be tuning into this new show of theirs.

I'd rather eat my own head than listen to Hook and Co tbh.. Each to their own though
