Does anyone know what Giles pianos are like? I've come across this one second-hand but don't know much about this make. It's a standard upright Giles piano. Many thanks.

Hi, I put up a query during the week to see if anyone knew anything about Giles upright pianos but had no luck with query. So wondering does anyone know who I could get in Dublin to check the piano to see if it's good before I buy it? Thanks again

Hi, I just googled Giles Pianos, there's a little info there. Try a Piano dealer in Dublin, they will probably be able to tell you about the brand and also put you in contact with someone who can advise you.

There are so many makes of Piano from days of old, not so many in business today. It's a very specialist subject.
What I can tell you is old Piano's often require a good bit of work and many cannot be brought up to concert pitch and must be tuned down a tone or so. That might not be the case with the Piano in question but it's a very common issue.
