Service man recommends I change the timing belt within 20000kms. He quoted €400 to do it. I know nothing about this but I see on micksgarage that timing belts/kits are around 100-150. What should I look for - a kit? I can get someone to do the labour.

You need a timing belt kit and water pump coolant.
You also need special timing tools and someone who knows what they are doing.
With all that in mind 400 euro is not that bad a price.

Price is fair assuming the water pump is changed. Make sure VAT is included in the quote.
