Emergency tax - when will I get it?

    Hi guys,

Sorry, I've looked through a lot of threads here, and I can't find an answer for my specific question.

My official employer is my university, but I don't receive a monthly paycheck, I only receive pay after invigilation or after correcting exams etc. So, my next paycheck won't be until next February I think.

This year I got emergency taxed quite a bit, but I have sent off my P12 and signed up for the online revenue service in the last month.

I'm wondering, seen as my next paycheck isn't until next year, must I wait until then to get my tax back or after I get my next P60 (as thats the only time i can do it online), or will I get it sooner than that?

If you are not due to get paid for the rest of this year then you will have to wait until the end of the year, get your P60 and request a review through PAYE anytime.
Your payslip in Feb won't reimburse your emergency tax as you will be in a new tax year.
