Reading your post I thought he'd ran 23 odd seconds in the 200 :)

I think I seen his name on that leaked IAAF report ;) fair play to him all the same.

There was an interview with him a few months back I heard here http://www.marathontalk.com/podcast/episode_274_charles_eugster.php

He started running as body building at 93/94 was a bit much for him (seriously)

Excerpt is from the original linked article. 23 seconds for 200 would be WADA stuff alright for a 96 year old. LOL

A 96 year old running 23 for 200m would be definite doping, no question.

Great going. Id guess that about 20% of our ever more obese adult population between 20-40 couldn't run that over 100m.

There was also some very impressive running by our own vets in the National Half on Sunday.

Pauric McKinney running 72 mins for the half in the 50-54 category and Christy McMonagle doing 1:33 in the 70-74 category. Christy also started in Wave 15, so I’d imagine he had a fair bit of traffic to contend with.

He holds the M65 national half-marathon record at 1:25, as well as the M65 marathon record of 3:08.

    Some terrific achievments there too.
