    Can you please clarify something for me please? I am a member of a private Group Water Scheme. I registered with Irish Water online very soon after receiving my info pack. I  supplied my PPS no.I have a reference no and did not receive any bill.Am I regitered with Irish Wate? Someone said that all info supplied with PPS no was deleted? Is this so?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    I can confirm that if you had registered with your PPSN, your registration would not have been deleted.

    PPS numbers were collected for the children's water allowance as qualification for this allowance was based on the child qualifying for child benefit. Qualification for children’s water allowance is now based on age (17 and under). They were also required for the household water allowance to ensure that only one household water allowance was given out per account holder for their primary residence. Since there is no longer a household water allowance then there is no longer a requirement for the PPS number.

    To protect customers' data, Irish Water has completed the process of deleting all PPS numbers that arrived by post or online. All of these have been deleted from our customer care systems. PPS numbers contained in voice recordings are currently in the process of being deleted.

    We would be more than happy to check if you are registered on our system. Would you mind sending the following details through private message?

    - Name;
    - Address and
    - Contact number.

    Thank you for getting back to me. Would you believe that just this morning I received a letter for Irish Water confirming that my registration was in order and providing all information I require for my water grant application. Thank you for getting back to me.
