Naas to Hatch Street Lower, Dublin 2

I start a new contract next week in Hatch St. I need the flexibility of having my car to drive to and from work but haven't worked in Dublin city since about 1996.
Problem is the company don't provide a car park space. What are my options?
Have looked at renting a space but it's too expensive. Have also looked at Luas park and ride in Dundrum but have not idea of the drive and commute times.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

I appreciate that you said you need your car but unless you genuinely need it to get to and from appointments during the daytime or if you are working shift hours then you are snookered car wise.

You could park around the Kimmage, Crumlin or Drimnagh area and walk or else get a Dublin Bus the rest of the way in. I wouldn't hazard a guess on commuting speeds on a wet winter Tuesday into the city.

Some services on Bus Eireann 126 serve Merrion Row with 2 departures from Kildare Street in the evenings; otherwise it means departing from Amien Street at the Luas stop.

Another alternative is to get a train from Maynooth and walk up from Pearse Station; this may take longer than the bus all things considered.

I'm sure other ideas will come in from other users.

Really depends if need you're car and what time you start work at.

Naas - Heuston by train then Dublin Bus 145 route to lesson street lower which Hatch street lower turns onto. Bus starts from Heuston stations front door.

Drive to the Naas road starting point and take the canal to lesson street plenty of on street parking there and on Hatch street but i would imagine its a lottery of sorts and very expensive. You could park at collage of surgeons/ Stephen green and walk about ten mins. Id say you will have to deal with a lot of traffic and parking will be very expensive.

drive Naas to Luas Red Cow p+r. Luas to either Heuston and transfer onto 145 again or stay on till abbey street for more choice of bus routes. In a few years when the cross city Luas is up and running you will be able to just swap trams at abbey street.

Also next year the Phoenix park tunnel should be open meaning you get the one train Naas to either Pearse or Grand Canal Dock stations and either walk 15-20 mins or use the Dublin bikes
