19 50 newcastle Imaginary World 16/1 C and D winner off 66 in August 2013 same ground conditions. Runs off 57 tomorrow. Last couple of runs have been ok while still coming down the weights. Cut in the ground should see improvement and the 16/1 available looks value. 2 pts win.

Have has a .5 pt win double with PCs pick.

Vasoni at 8/1 is the pick of the day for me in the 6:30 at Sligo. Loves it at Sligo and has won 3 from 5 races over the same/similar distance. Will be more than happy with the soft conditions and is nicely down in the weights. If the weather turns really foul and the going turns bottomless, then I fear Hurricane Twister may be a danger.

Had already put IMAGINARY WORLD in the notebook so was glad to see your write up. I am going to add another that i think has a real chance at the weights.
CHEVAL ROUGE 8.00 C&D in Aug. 13 winner off a mark of 84. Only had the 2 runs last year so clearly had issues. This year hes had 4 runs so far but only one was over his best trip of 10f when beaten 14L by CURVY (now rated 112) which is no disgrace. Hes back over 10f for this race and down to a mark of 72 so hopefully he gives a good account.

I will put him in with PC's and SDOC's for a Patent and a 1pt ew treble

    gl with your bets

In the 8:00, a whole bunch of course and distance winners go up against each other, but I am going to go for the bottom weight Cheval Rouge, a horse who won here two years ago over yielding ground, while winning again the year before that over heavy going. Horse is getting on these days, but you'd have to think it has a chance off this kind of mark considering it's been entered in some decent races lately. 14/1

Would you not be worried about Cheval Rouge having ran today in the 18 30 Cork. Hardly ideal prep.

Not a bit, actually indicates to me that the trainer feels the horse is 100% race fit.

    Good man Francie.

I can back this one well up. Was coming on to post.

She had a nice prep run in Galway on Saturday, let the rain bucket it down tonight and Vasoni will romp home for us!

Fing irish weather. The day you want soft ground for 1 you fancy and it rains so much the meeting gets abandoned. Typical.

Might be a stupid question, but what/where are Peintre Celebre's picks?

Lads do ye think abandoning races is fair in wet weather? Iv ridden in p2ps (15+ years ago) in some absolute bogs. I know the safety and welfare of jockey and horse is paramount but surely it narrows down the chances unfairly of horses that love a wet slog.
Takes away a chance of a winner. Thoughts?

Pick A Little 4-1 15:20 Brighton. Two wins on this course already this year and Sousa on board.

Sur Empire 11-2 15:50 Brighton 6lb lower and Sousa on board.

The horses' safety is always number one priority.

Pick a Little beaten by a neck. One to keep in the tracker.

Sur Empire never got in to the race. A strange race as none of the favoured horses were placed.

Ya I thought the same, just didn't have enough toe for the younger horses in the last 50 yards, they weren't getting any closer once he got within a length
