Which graphics card?

Trading in some old console stuff with CEX and wondering if the 7850 2gb is the best I can get for the price since it's nearly the same as the 270x which is 20 more. Is the gtx 590 better?

Will only be doing basic games like cod and fifa.

All good cards, fairly similar. 270X is a savage card, 590 is about the same

The 590 would be faster actually but it's only a 1.5Gb card, and requires a heavy power supply. Overall, it wouldn't be worth it. The 270X at €125 is the best value for money.

The 590 is a 3gb I think but looked up the power reqs and they're insane! Will go with the 7850 or 270x depending on how much I get thanks again.

It's a dual GPU card, so it's 1.5GB per card - which although totalling 3GB, is still only 1.5GB usable as the vram doesn't stack. You would also want a 650W power supply really to run it as well. Definitely worth the extra 20 for the 270X, faster than the 7850 and a newer card as well, will hold resale value better.

Agree with all of the above. A 590 is indeed a 1.5GB card (2 chips at 1.5GB does not mean 3 overall as the data is mirrored between them).

The 270X is good value and quite good FPS per euro.
