Hi , I have VW Polo 02 1.0 Litre (MPi ) which is missing on one cylinder and after a compression check it looks like a valve issue.
I have got a chance of another engine from a 01 Polo exact same MPi engine.

My question is if I fit this new engine will i have issues with immobiliser etc. is there anything else I need from the donor car apart from the engine.

if anyone has any experience in this I would appreciate a reply.

There are no immobiliser implications, you can just swap the engines.

Some of those MPI engines had an EGR valve and some didn't, so double check the donor engine is the same as your own in that regard before going fitting it!
