    Hi I am leaving the country in a few weeks and have registered my details. I have tennants moving into the property and would like to register their details and remove my own. I filled in my registration pack and paid my first bill. The bill has the wrong surname aswell for some reason. How do I go about changing the details.

    Thanks for geting in touch.

    As the landlord of the property, you can contact Irish Water and provide the name of your tenant by calling 1890 448 448.

    Irish Water will then write to your tenant to invite them to register. This will ensure that you are no longer liable for water services charges whilst the tenant continues to be the occupant of the property. The personal data to be provided by landlords or their authorised agents is limited to the tenants' names only.

    If you would like us to update your surname on our system, we can do so if you send the following details through private mail:

    - Name;
    - Address and
    - Contact number.
