Moka Pot Coffee

    Hi,

    What type of grind give the best coffee with a moka pot ?
    Do I need to buy espresso ground ?

    ive the crappiest of crappy grinders : Krups 75 coffee grinder
    and i grind them very fine and get a great coffee .

    Im sure there will be others who tell you what type of grind is best but Im happy with the results

    Yeah, espresso grind should be fine for this. Maybe follow the process here:

    especially with regard to preheating the water.

    Does the pre-heating make that much of a difference ?

    Can never seem to get a consistent coffee using the Moka pot, wasn't sure if its the grind I was using or the technique

    Pre-heating helps stop the beans cooking out while the water's coming up to temperature. It will make a difference. The biggest thing is freshly ground coffee after that and making sure you keep your dose consistent.
