    A plane scheduled to land at London Heathrow from China this afternoon was forced to divert to Amsterdam after running out of fuel.
    China Southern flight CZ303, that set out from Guangzhou at 9.30am local time, is believed to have made the diversion after it used up too much fuel making a detour around Chinese military operations.
    The Boeing B788 Dreamliner landed at Amsterdam Schiphol at around 2.30pm this afternoon, an hour before it was supposed to arrive in London.

    Daily Mail is calling this "Breaking News"..... I wonder if anyone has told them about re-dispatch. Most if not all long haul airlines plan to land at an intermediary airport, then as they approach that airport they assess their fuel and continue to the actual destination, unfortunately some times, they fuel isn't sufficient and the aircraft has to land at the enroute airport.

    The reason behind this is to reduce the carriage of reserve fuel.

    Doomed 787, a plane which frequently bursts into flames, has near miss with chinese military, runs out of fuel over europe and limps into Schipol with seconds to spare before terrified passengers continue to London Heathrow.

    Your forgot to add " Ryanair budget Airline" to the title












    Much further down in the article that one of the passengers had a carry on suitcase purchased on the ryanair website
