    Hello,

I'd love to have your assistance please on choosing the right laptop for me.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    *Budget:
    up to ~800 Euros

    *Intended use:
    1. Coding (Visual Studio and perhaps one more IDE), might connect a simple Dev. Platform to it (e.g. Arduino)
    2. internet
    3. e-mail
    4. Movies occasionally
    * No gaming

    *Mobility:
I'll be 20% of the time on the road, I wish the laptop to be no more than ~2.1Kg

    *Warranty:
International warranty is needed, as I might need to use it in a different country than where I purchased it.

    *Operating System:
Preferably Windows, as most IDEs work with it

    *Display:
    - 15 Inch Screen, 1080p (to not stress the eyes)

    *Drive:
    - SSD, no HDD (I wish it to be quiet and not get hot, therefore I'd like to get it with SSD only)

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
I don't code myself but I think The Lenovo E550 would tick a lot of your boxes. If you get the i5 version upgrade the Ram to 8gb, upgrade the screen to 1080p and change the Hard drive to a solid state drive than it'll cost 823 euro. It does weigh in at 2.35kg but thats to be expected with something as sturdy as a ThinkPad.
Hope I was able to help!

Modern thinkpad. Build isnt 100% what it used to be, but still very good and the keyboards are up there which will be a key factor for a codemonkey.
