New car procedure

I'm in the process of buying new through a main dealer. Have agreed spec, paid deposit by credit card, delivery is due soon.
Everything's been done verbally - nothing on paper as yet. What's the normal practice here? I feel I should get an invoice, details of spec, warranty etc on paper before completion?
I'll be paying upfront, not a credit arrangement.
First time I've bought new, so am pretty uninformed around this.
I'd appreciate having my card marked on how this is usually done.

Go in, inspect the car and if all is well pay your money. They'll give you a copy of your order form signed and any additional warranty info.

If you have any extras make sure they're on the car before you pay up.

I'd make sure you have full spec on paper, otherwise if you receive it and there's not the agreed alloys, trim etc it will just be your word against theirs.

Read everything on the form before you sign anything and make sure they give you the form to tax the car. Happy Motoring!!!
