Hey guys, I know I'm probably worried about nothing but recently I gave oral sex to a guy without using a condom. I only swallowed a small amount is semen and the guy himself said that he's negative and gets tested but I can't shrug my feelings of paranoia. Have any of you guys gone through something like this before?

Get tested. ITs the only way you'll know for sure.

and don't forget its not just HIV you need to worry about. Oral Gonorrhea and chlamydia are pretty wide spread. and just because he tells you that he's clean, doesn't mean he is. Take yourself off to a clinic or if you are very shy, you can do the home testing kits from Lloyds pharmacy on line. Its pretty discreet :)

There is no risk at all. The only reported cases of HIV from oral, are when people had massive open sores in their mouth.

HIV won't show up on any test in Ireland for the first 3 weeks and is only conclusive after 6 weeks (after 4 weeks is pretty good)

Anything you swallow has to pass through your stomach. Stomach acid is highly acidic, it'll most certainly kill the sperm itself, but also the vast majority of viruses aswell. It doesn't kill everything of course, which is why people can end up with intestinal parasites, but it does a pretty damn good job at killing nasty bacteria/fungi/viruses in the food or fluid you swallow.
