I was out for a few jars with a friend last night in our local watering hole.

We bumped into an ex girlfriend of his. They were going out for about 3 years as teenagers. Just up until they started college.

She was always kind of cute but not what you'd call stunning. I would never say that in front of him of course.

However, that's all changed. She looked absolutely incredible. I have no idea what happened to her. There was no hint of plastic surgery or botox or any of that nonsense either. She just said that she had a failed marriage about 4 years ago and from that time on she went on a healthy living binge and its paid off for her.

She should write a book on whatever the hell she's after doing. She'll be an instant millionaire.

Have you ever had someone from your past come back and surprise you like this.

Yes, met a guy a few months ago that I would have sworn died about 5 or 6 years ago. He looked well on it though. I can't figure whose funeral I'm mixing his up with.

I couldn't help myself, I even said "I thought you were dead!".

Saw the chap I daydreamed about for the best part of my teenage years quite recently. I'm glad my love was unrequited.

:D How did he react to that?If someone said that to me Id be convinced theyd had a premonition and my days were numbered.

At our age (70+), it is taken as funny. We had a good laugh about it.

It really does seem like the more people you're exposed to (steady on!) as you grow older, the less you're knocked out by the person who was once a knockout!

Although in saying that, it's bloody embarrassing that some of the girls I used play with as children decades ago (like younger sisters of friends and so on), they've turned into utter stunners in their 20's. I met one girl a few weeks back and I'd no idea who she was, just this stunning looking girl who was sauntering up to me -

    "Hello!"

    "Hi?"

    "You don't remember me?"

    "Should..."

    "You remember my tea parties!"

"Ohhh Jesus!", as the realisation sunk in :(

(and the embarrassment of the memory of those pink fcuking teacups and pinky out while we drank virtual tea :o)

    This happened to me once.

One morning, as I was starting work I noticed the Boss walking down the floor towards me with a puzzled look on his face.

'I thought you were dead'. he said to me

'Ehhh ,No I'm not' I replied

Apparently he was listening to the death notices on local radio (as he does every morning). An old guy with the same name & almost the same address as me had passed on. Boss didn't know the chap & was convinced it was me!
Anyway the misunderstanding was cleared up quickly.
    He left saying:

'I'm glad you're not dead Filmer, well sort of.....
