Just wondering from looking at the attached picture could anyone advise me if this field is lacking in P or K or both as the grass is a very light green colour and nearly yellow in spots. This is aftergrass btw cut about 2 weeks ago and looks poor to me. I will soil test early next year.

Are you using a PC - are you sure you're not selecting it for upload and then not saving it?

id be going with 18.6.12 until you do a soil test

Just noticed that picture size is too big for upload :(
Anyway this was a field that went too strong for grazing. It got 2 bags 10.10.20 in April and then a bag of CAN early June for grazing. Hasn't got anything since cutting.
I'm planning to graze it this week and then go with a bag of Sweetgrass ?

Graze it and coat it in slurry. Silage takes a lot out of ground so more than likely need both. If no slurry 18 6 12 or something would be better. Do a soil test in spring

What about pH? Has it got/ does it need lime?

It's August, its gotten 47 units of N and been grazed and cut for silage. You'd be a bit pale Youself if you were working all day and only had a cup if coffee at 7am :)

You can't know what it needs till you soil test. I'd say some 18-6-12 would do the trick. She's run out of N in the short term

pH is sound. It's peaty ground and the ph is always in the high 6's or low 7''s and it never gets lime.

You're a lucky man, I wish I'd the same complaint!

I was just looking at ideal pH levels last night and for peat ground they recommend 5.5.
