Need a waterproof jacket. Saw this mentioned on the bargains thread but was too late for the special offer. Can anyone who has one tell me how it is? Know it will leave some water in but worth the money? Also how does it compare to their 7k jacket. .....that seems totally waterproof. Thanks

Wore my mistral today, just wore a summer long sleeve base layer under it and was a bit warm but not too bad. I did not get much rain just a few small light showers and they just bounced off the jacket.

I have both, but haven't had a chance to use the Mistral yet, on the easy list for the next few days, the Tourmalet is a great bit of kit but totally waterproof is probably pushing it, I wore it on the Orwell Randonnee this year, couldn't say I was dry when I got back but was still warm, if you're out long enough water wicks up, down and in at the sleeves, but I'd say it lasted as long as any other bit of kit that day.

If anyone is in the general Kildare/Offaly area and wants a look just shout.
