Upgrade bulb options

Hi I have been looking to upgrade my stock headlights on my 04 is200 for some time now.
I actually bought LED bulbs on eBay which although looked the part when fitted, had rubbish light output, they literally wouldn't have lit a dark room.
I was thinking about getting osram night breakers. I'd like something with a cool white effect which will also provide good night time visibility.
    Does anybody have any recommendations?
I should also point out I want to keep the car NCT compliant!...

    Philips Whitevision have good reviews.

Poor in comparison to osrams and oem yellow light.

If anyone has pics of the Osrams fitted to their car that would be very helpful.

Your not going to really notice the difference with most cameras.

They are however the best bulb going. Noticeable difference in using it compared to the old bulbs in the C5

I don't find the Osram Night breakers all they're cracked up to be to be honest. Have some in my E39 about 7 months now and to be honest the difference has been minimal, don't think they were worth the price.

sorry for dragging the thread slightly OP but does anyone know anywhere selling 4300k ish W5W fitting CANBUS compatible LED's that aren't crap , the ebay SMD ones all seem to flicker or go after a while.

Change mine stock H15 to Osram Night breakers and they are much better than the original VAG ones. But do not expect them to be same as xenons.

Clean the light housings/glass. If your glass/plastic isn't clear no light can help.
Fit Nightbreakers or another product. I like Nightbreakers.
Check lamp alignment against a wall. You want to make sure lights are seated right and won't blind other drivers.
    Sorted.

Philips do 4000k w5w but thay are not cheap(22euro) but you still need resistors for CAN bus
Just google for Philips Xtreme Vision 360 LED W5W

I have a set of them, or is it the osram equivalent... proper current driven leds not some cheapo led with a resistor twisted onto it like all the eBay shenzen specials.

Had fleabay flicker LED's before... never again.

I've bought from these in the past and never only ever had 1 crap bulb, based in Ireland too so quick delivery.

    Osram nightbreaker

Even nightbreaker light is fairly yellow. Philips is as yellow as a cheap h7 if a little brighter
