I have windows 8.1 on my laptop. Trying to use sky go. I get a message telling me to install Microsoft silver light. So when I click the link and install the programme it's still not working. When I reopen IE after the install I get the same message. Then yesterday I gave it one last go after uninstalling and installing it several times and then it worked.
However today when I logged in I got the same message, to install upgrade silver light. Has anyone else encountered this?
by the way I have tried using both IE and Firefox. Chrome no longer supports silverlight

It's definitely supposed to work in IE11 on Windows 10, but I'm not sure whether there's anything special that you need to do to make it work.

Silverlight will also continue to be supported in Internet Explorer 11, so sites continue to have Silverlight options in Windows 10.

IE11 on Win10 is also listed on the System Requirements tab on the Get Silverlight page.

But there is something blocking it. I just tested the Silverlight Demo Page, and I only got the "Install Silverlight" button. I was able to make it work by adding www.microsoft.com to my Local Intranet (Internet Options/Security/Local Intranet/Advanced). So it does work on Win10, but there's some setting somewhere that is blocking it by default.

    Doh!

I had ActiveX Filtering enabled in IE11. As soon as I turned that off, Silverlight started to work properly for me in IE11 on Win10.
