2006 Laguna need sound advice

My husband has a 2006 Laguna. It had a problem with the DPS. It has been in
our driveway for about 9 months now, having not been driven in that time.

I posted about this before but I can't find the thread.

The question is what's the car worth, as it stands?

Husband reckons it's worth about between 1.5 and 2 g max.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Your husband is far too optimistic, I'm afraid. Your car would be worth about that with no issues and a long NCT. Did you get it checked over by a mechanic? It could possibly just need a regen of the DPF (by driving it hard). Any NCT left?

If you just want rid, I'd put it on donedeal honestly describing the car and the DPF problem and look for €999, hope for the best.

Thanks for the honest advice. No NCT left and no tax on it either. I'll get the husband to talk the local mechanics on Tuesday after the bank holiday.

They are so busy though, good thing.

He can't drive it hard as he doesn't drive on a motorway.

So I guess it's just a car for parts. Pity because it is a a lovely car. I was never allowed to dive it.:(

Sure op if you like it yourself would you not fix it nct it tax it and drive it yourself. If your only going to get 1k for its not like your making huge money selling it. Any decent mechanic will sort the dog might be just as simple as forcing a regeneration. Unless of course you don't need a car. But I'd be only selling it of cheap if you have absolutely no use for it.

That model of renault has a very poor reputation and it's reflected in difficulty in selling and low price. Without nct and issues it going to be very difficult to shift even sub 1k
