    Many doing it this year? Local stockist says their is a lack of pmsg and that its hard got when i went in the other day, anyone else having this problem?

    You don't need PMSG.
    I only used a spong on a group of ewes last year and they came in heat the same day as the other ewes that got PMSG and I found no difference in the % of lambs born.

    I think PMSG is used to synchronize ewes more so for AI.

    It helps conception if you're sponging out of season, when were your ewes lambing

    They were lambing in early January this year so sponged mid-August last year.

    Edit: I mean sponged late July. Sponges in for 14 days then pulled out and 36 hours later let the ram in.

    Yea i have done it before without the pmsg, always taught it helped with lambing % here thou.
