    hi there,

Wondering if anyone can give me any suggestions please. Myself and 2 friends coming up to Galway next Friday and staying over. 1 of my friends is in a wheelchair. I agreed to look up restaurant to book.
Want to know of any wheelchair accessible/ friendly nice restaurants and bars in the city. ??
I used to know Galway pretty well, used to socialise up there a lot over the years. So know the usual haunts. Though haven't in the last 2 years or so.

Wondering from what I remember Busker Brownes bar is ok for wheelchair access??
Some restaurants of the top of my head have stairs and aren't accessible. Want to make is easy for my friend..

Any tips or advice much appreciated!! Cheers!

If you like Indian food, the Kashmir down by the Claddagh is some of the nicest I've ever had. All ground floor and though it's been a while, should be accessible.

Eat @ Massimo? My husband said he has seen someone in a wheelchair in Ard Bia, at the first table on the right as you walk in.

Thanks for all the replies. Can I ask you is Blakes KC Blakes? Or Blakes Bar? Or Brasserie? Confused.com!!
    One on Eglinton St,
KC Blakes is not ringing. Though think that is the wrong one?? Oh it's been a while since I've been in Galway! Ha..

Blakes bar and restaurant all the one?
    Cheers,

I rang Busker Brownes also, as they have Kirbys restaurant. That way u get restaurant and bar all under 1 roof.. Handy out.. Though was ringing to check wheelchair accessible.

Also rang Cactus Jacks. As always a hit lively. They have 2 steps though accessible in general.

    Cheers,

KC Blakes Restaurant has been closed down a little while I think.

Blakes Bar and Brasserie are all the one, if your booking ask for it in the restaurant part not the bar, they've different menus and there's more room in the restaurant.
