I am flying to Vancouver in the second week in Sept and fly home from Portland two weeks later. I would like to try out white water rafting and some mountain biking (I've done both before) while I am over there. I have been reading up online and seems Whistler would have everything I would be looking for but I was wondering can anyone recommend any good companies to go with or any other places I should be checking out while I am there.

Whistler pretty much offers everything you want, the Mountain Biking side of things is huge there, and you have the options of going to the Downhill Bike Park where you get the Ski lifts up the mountain and cycle down (http://bike.whistlerblackcomb.com/) or there are plenty of Cross Country routes there as well, and quite a few bike rental places in the village. I've done the Bike Park before and its great fun and a good adrenaline rush, you can rent everything through the site above.

Squamish which is halfway to Whistler is supposed to be great for mountain biking but its less set up for visitors I think, with less rental places and also tricker to get to the tracks from the town.
