    Morning all.

I spotted this yesterday and have been trying to sell one of the kids to finance it. Things are all over the place at the minute though, so I can't quite afford it. Hopefully someone here will get one.

Anyways, Currys are currently advertising the Panasonic TX-55CX400B Smart 3D Ultra HD 4k 55" LED TV on telly for £799.
This doesn't come up through any of the links on the currys.ie site. Only way it appears is if you search the model number, and it comes up at €999! That's €700 off!
Going with xe.com, which is conservative at best, £800 comes in at €1150.

There's an extra €50 off too using code TRDN50, if you exchange an old telly, and nationwide delivery is €20.

So hopefully someone will grab a bargain. And if there's some well off Boardsie that wants to pick me up one, I promise to pay them back within 3 months! Stupid kids and car tax!

Seems like a good deal alright, but 55" is a tad oversized for most living rooms I suspect. I just got out the measuring tape, my current TV is 42", so the step up to 55" would be enormous and would take up far too much space. Don't think I'll pull the trigger on this one.

    New MTB or new TV...fuuuuuuuu

Edit.. just seen it doesn't come with the Panasonic 5 Year guarantee. No competition then.

I saw the Panasonic in store today, nice TV alright, but the new curved TVs look much better but way more expensive. One thing to note, if you are going to buy the Panasonic you will need a TV stand at least 55" wide as the feet it stands on are at either side of the TV, so it wouldn't fit on my current TV stand and I don't fancy wall mounting a TV.

Actually 55" is probably the recommended size of TV if you sit approx 8' from your TV which is the space most living rooms would have.

I'm looking for a 55" to replace my 37" as I find it too small and I'm sitting approx 9' away from it!

Study on them out, the curve is actually bad for viewing.

I'm on phone, look it up.

I remember our TV when I was a kid being RENTED (yes, rented) from RTV. A massive 24" Pye jobbie, for which I was the remote control.

By the time my kid grows up, the entire wall will be a video wall I expect.

    Nah.

They'll all have their own personal hologram displays.
