anybody any experience of self-representation in a court case?

i've decided to represent myself in a serious court case

it involves a workplace aciident,(whereby i inhaled and ingested a lot of fine glass powder over 2 days) (where the boss is 99.92% guilty)

    in germany,

    ( i speak 99.99% perfect german)/ lived there 15 years

the main question will come down to my justice/compensation,

    just the same

    that's the easy part,

there is also going to be a case of medical negligence directly involved,

the ****ing langer of a "doctor " made a **** of things, ( i actually hate her more than the dope of a caretaker who sprayed all the pesticide in my place of work, well tbh i hate that **** too,

    anyway,

    i will update the outcome,

    (which should be $1,000,000)

    sorry 've been rambling,

to cut it short , how could a lwayer represent me better,

i actually almost had a lawyer arranged, a friend of a friend, but he told me it wouldn't be his area (medical) and he was fully booked)

    yours sincerely

    J

If the case is going to be fully defended you are going to be outgunned big time.
And as you are so confident of winning, won't your legal costs be covered?

My first thought would be how much do you know about German law and German court procedure. I've lived in Ireland all my 37 years and I'd know next to fück all about how an Irish court works. I'd imagine it would be hard to learn or know a foreign system.

Million euro payout, you are 99% confident and you cant be bothered with getting legal respentation.

I think your 99% is going to get a lot lower once it starts.

Knowing (or thinking) the boss is 99.92% guilty, and proving it in court, are two very different things......

You want to represent yourself in a possible million dollar case? Madness. You need correct representation who can rally the correct experts and medical examinations to strengthen your case.

that was also my first thought,

i have nothing to gain or lose from this, it's something i have been sucked into, tbh honest i see it as a game now, (lets say poker or chess)

i would settle for an apology

Legal advice is prohibited by the forum charter. Even if it wasn't, no one here can help you because we're all Irish lawyers and this involves German law.

If you require legal advice, please engage the services of an appropriate legal professional.
