    Hi all

My test is in a couple of weeks and Ive done my 12 lessons. I havent had any practice otherwise. Went for a pre test in wicklow today and he recommended quite a few practice sessions before test which is fine guns give test a go. Mt q is do I need to be practicing in area of test ie wicklow? I dont live there and its a fair trek. I dont have my own car so need lifts. Can I just do pretests in bray? Or would anyone suggest against that?

You can do your practice driving anywhere you want. But the more practice driving you do on the actual roads where you'll be doing your test, the better your odds will be of passing the test. At the end of the day, roads are just roads, but each test route has its own unique quirks and conditions. The more familiar you are with them, the less chance there will be of your being surprised by something unfamiliar on the day of the test.

Could you defer your test until later? Two weeks in very soon to be doing a test, if you haven't done any practice driving at all.

Decided to postpone test and work on buying car to practice in.
