Immersion heater - no hot water

    Hi all

The immersion heater in my apartment has stopped working. The timer comes on as normal alright but the water is cold coming from the tank.

Over the past few days I noticed that the water was very hot coming from the taps so I presume that one (or both) of the thermostats has cut out and now the water isn't heating at all.

Is it an easy job to change the thermostats out? I wouldn't say there's much point in resetting them. Would I need to drain the tank or anything like that? I know about cutting the power and that but just want to make sure this is something I could do myself without having to wait a few days for a plumber.

    Thanks in advance
