Lads, the CRDI sometimes doesn't start up and takes a few goes to get her going. It turns over fine but it doesn't start. It only does this occasionally but she's also running a bit rough. I can feel a slight vibration that wasn't there before.

Had a problem prior to this with the car not revving past 3k but after changing the filter that problem went. But almost immediately this problem then started. If I let the tank run down its more likely she'll take a couple of turns to start her so I keep the tank brimmed as best I can. I think I may have gotten a bad dose of diesel.

    Any ideas?

Don't know anything about the Kia Rio, but in general I think you need to bleed the system after you change the fuel filter on a diesel. Any chance there's air in the system?

Would the mechanic not have done that when he changed it?

There may well be air in it Cletus

Sorry Jesus, I actually thought you had changed the filter yourself, that's why I suggested bleeding afterwards as an issue. The mechanic is likely to have bled it

Cheers Cletus. Maybe it needs new injectors
