Are the dry worth more and if so what kind of premium?

the higher price paid for the dry hoggets is usually down to them being in better condition

if you are buying, I wouldn't shy away from ones that reared lambs, if they're the type you want and in decent condition. they make much better mothers and easier to deal with in lambing 2016

Just wondering the best time to sell a ewe. Maybe as a dry 18 month old? Or maybe wait a few more months and put her in lamb?

Just one? What breeding? Check your local mart's calender. Best price in blessington for chev is usually the week after the premier chev sale.
I'm not sure if you'd get much more for her as an in lamb ewe as an hogget
