Ideas for child friendly holidays in 2016

For the last few years we've mostly went to Trabolgan in Cork on holidays. Primarily this has been for budget reasons and because we felt our kids were too young to travel abroad. We feel the kids are now old enough to travel abroad and our budget has increased, so we're thinking of holidaying outside Irealnd in 2016.

We have 3 girls who will be aged 7, 4 and 2 next summer. We have a budget of approx €2000 and we have the option of holidaying in the first week of June as our eldest daughter's school is closed for a full week.

Any recommendations on places abroad that would be good to go to? Going somewhere that is child friendly and is within our budget of €2000 (including spending money) would be our primary considerations.

    Any advice is welcome.

I know people who went to a place called bluestone in wales its very close to pembroke so you could bring the car via rosslare. I think its basically like a centreparcs with pools and restaurants on site and has walks in the woods etc.

Thanks. I had a look on their website and for self catering accomodation for a week in the first week of June it would cost us €1500. I suspect with the ferry cost and spending money that would take it outside of our budget. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll keep it in mind if our budget increases in future years and if the exchange rate becomes more favourable.

Sorry about that Ive never looked into it but its highly recommended by my friend. My brother has stayed in self catering chalets in dunfanaghy in donegal on the site of a hotel which means you get the use of the hotel pool etc. his family all love it although maybe thats too close to home for you?

Thanks for the tip. After a week of rain on our holiday in Ireland this year I think we're going to try abroad if we can afford it.
