    Hi
I have this adware popping up on different browsers constantly and can't remove it
I tried malwarebytes and adcleaner to no avail
A couple of popups first appear and then it directs me to 360security app on the playstore

Any ideas how to remove this thanks

Probably one of the apps you have installed comes with these ads. Uninstall the offending app.

I've been getting the same thing the last 2 days, but only on one site, phonearena.com, on both my phone and my tablet.

I'm getting it on at least 2 browsers

Why don't malwarebytes or adware flag it up

Sorry Mike, I forgot this is Android. :)

I'd do a total factory reset, to be honest, and reinstall all user apps without data, either from backup like Titanium, or even Google backup/restore, if that's enabled on your device.

Don't bother with Nandroid made with custom recovery, unless you made it before the infection, and you are sure.

You could also firstly try an uninstall all your browsers and do a fresh install, first clear cache/data in Settings/Apps.

Default system browser, whatever it is, Chrome?,

would need root and system app uninstaller from Play.....there are many.

of course root is also a way in for these malware/adware yolks, and allowing "unknown sources" in security settings to install stuff not from Play.

You might get away with simple wipe cache/data.

Ohh and disable or stop sync between devices.

Never do it, so not sure of the procedure...but it would be a way in again for this Adware.

Just tried phonearena there, and no shenanigans. I think it was a site-specific issue, they seem to have sorted it out.
