KIA Cee SW (new) or V70 D4 2011

As I'm still waiting for my company to come to a damn conclusion on the company car policy I continue to look at alternatives. I can basically get a KIA Cee Sportswagon new for the same price as a V70 D4 2011/12 model with around 100k km on it. I've driven the V70 previous and love it, being a volvo it's as secure as a tank basically but quite big and of course heavy. Don't mind to much about the fuel to be honest as I'll be doing around 15k to 20k km a year and that includes some longer 8h trips.

The question is though would I be crazy to pick the Volvo over the KIA with it's 7 year warranty out of the box? Obviously Volvo also means more expensive spare parts etc. but from a quality perspective it's two different ballparks as well...

    Any thoughts?

I've had two Kia's and one Volvo, not these models, but all from brand new.

I agree there's no comparison on quality, Kia over Volvo anytime and as long as you go for a high spec model, a very nice place to be. Probably nothing will go wrong with the Kia but the 7 year guarantee gives great peace of mind.

On the other hand, Volvo feels safer and more solid, especially on longer runs. Definitely a nicer driver's car and better looking I think, but higher fuel, tax, cost of inevitable parts, lack of long warranty

This is a real heart or head decision ;)

Well I'm inclined towards the Volvo simply because taxes I can live with but driving for 8h in a car you like... It also cuts out that initial depreciation hit quite a bit.
