Mondeo vibration

I have an 06 manual Mondeo diesel. I hit a pothole a few months ago, burst the left front tyre. Ever since, the car has a vibration, seats shake at speed. I have balanced the wheels several times, I even changed the wheels. Any ideas?

    Buckled wheel perhaps?

No, changed the wheels, balanced them again and made no difference.

Do you mean you changed the tyres or the rim and tyre?

I changed the 4 rims and the 4 tyres and it made no difference. The new rims and tyres were again balanced and made no difference.

Ok, so it seems something in the suspension took a hit and perhaps was bent.
Did a mechanic ever have a look at the suspension parts etc?

I haven't had the suspension checked yet, all effort was on wheels up to now. I don't know if this is relevant but I also changed the brake discs last year and in the last few weeks one of them has become warped. They were not spurious discs, genuine Ford used.

It's possible of course but not likely as a warped disc would give vibrations when braking (in the pedal mostly) and not during driving, unless the caliper sticks.
For a sticky caliper touch each wheel after driving. They should all be the same temp. If caliper is stuck it will generate heat.

Have a mech check suspension components.

Had similar issue ,turned out to be wishbone , I had 01 so needed whole new wishbone. I was told mondeos so heavy it common.

I'd have that side of the suspension looked at, most probably that it was damaged by the impact of the pothole.

For sure get the wishbones and trackrod arms checked for damage - had a similar issue that needed the wishbone replacing, common enough issue with the Mondeo
