    Hey Guys,

Really hoping for some help here, Girlfriends birthday next week and I told her I'd take her out for a meal, she Is very indecisive and Insists that I choose the restaurant. Usually when we go for food It's to Hard rock,Cpt America's,TGI's etc but they are out of the question as she wants to go somewhere a bit "fancier".

The problem with fancy Is, I don't eat Fish or Steak. I'm a pretty bad eater so normally what I eat Is a burger, chicken, pizza, Mac+Cheese etc.

The most "fancy" place we regular is the Italian Corner but she wants to go somewhere different. So could anyone recommend somewhere that would be "fancy" enough to satisfy the GF, but also have the kind of food that would satisfy me?

    Tough one, thanks in advance.

Brasserie 66 should fit the bill. Its nice and has a few chicken options and does a burger.

Thanks Jimmii, looks great, nothing on the starters for me tho, I don't eat chicken off the bone (I'm very picky) will be definitely go here If nothing else comes up as starts aren't really a deal breaker, I'm sure they'll have some bread :P

Luigi Malones wouldn't 100% be fancy but would be a step up from somewhere like TGIs and has a very friendly menu (with some great toblerone cheese cake)

Elephant & Castle has some nice burger options

Upstairs in Fallon & Byrne is very lovely, they have burgers, but you might be out of luck on the starters!

Milano is a chain restaurant (rebranded Pizza Express for here) but it's not unfancy or grotty and you'd probably both happily get fed. They do some cute things for dessert too

+ 1 for Sophies, I was only there for Sunday lunch but I'd love to go back for dinner.

Another place does burgers and pizzas is Gotham Café just off Grafton, near Keoghs pub. I wouldn't describe it as fancy but you should be able to find something on the menu

Jaysus Ken! You're fairly limiting things here! Missflintworth is on the ball. Elephant and Castle for you and your girl. You can't book though, so get there early and get your name on the list and go for a pint. (Your really really depriving yourself of the wings).

As I seem to be the only person in Dublin still in a recession, I tend to work the other way around. I drop over to mydealpage.ie (it has the offers from groupon, livingsocial etc on one site) and search for restaurant offers in whatever area and then check their reviews on Menupages, tripadvisor etc.
